Managed Firewall

Please make firewall management a priority! My initial interaction with the platform has been fantastic, but this is a glaring hole. I can't replace my current AV because all this tells me is if the firewall is on or off. Really baseline info, great, but I have to get other programs to try to cover the gap. Having a user open holes in the firewall is almost as easy as turning it off. For reference as devs work on this, it needs to function in a domain environment and outside of one where a client is just using workgroups.

Huntress now supports the ability to see if you have Windows Defender firewall enabled or disabled across your account or organizations.
Jonathan
James O'Leary: Great. So is it just an off alert at this point. Or does it tell us any greater details about the firewall?
J
James O'Leary
Jonathan: As of right now this is just a widget in the EDR dashboard. This is the first step that we intend to iterate on so we'd love to hear any feedback that you have!

James Wood
James O'Leary: Is this currently available in production? The only place I see the Firewall referenced is if you drill into an EDR agent it shows the FW status as enabled or disabled. Is there an ability to see this on any sort of list of agents? It doesn't do any good to have to click into every machine to see if the FW is enabled.

James Wood: It looks like we communicated this a bit too early, you will see this in the portal next week. Sorry for the confusion.

This would be huge and one of the largest barriers of fully moving away from S1. Any traction on this?

Please! Also allow us to increase the time out of the console.

Hi, is this still on the roadmap. Any updates?

Even if not fully managed, just added column to managed AV with firewall status (enabled/disabled) would be useful.

I was actually surprised when support told me this wasn't part of the Windows Defender management when I found a firewall turned off. It makes so much sense I just assumed it was at least monitoring that it is enabled.

This would address the management issue we are having in the move to Huntress + Defender. Your stack allows us to manage our clients from a single pane of glass, but when it comes to firewall rules we have to do that manually through other tools. Put another way, most endpoint protection products (e.g. Bitdefender, FortiClient) include firewall management, so Huntress + Defender is not entirely competitive with Huntress + FortiClient.

This is something we've been thinking about for a while and is on our roadmap for later this year. It's too far out to give a reliable timeframe, but we agree this will be a very nice addition to the Huntress platform.

This would be a great addition and would love to see this in the future
