Recently, hackers try to use hosting and VPN service in the region where the client is normally working to avoid detection.
a. 99.99% of our users will never use a VPN provider to access their work email
It would be interesting to have a toggle for automatic alerts on access from consumer VPN like ExpressVPN and Windscribe for example.

We are now alerting on VPN usage so I'm going to mark this as complete. But if you had feedback about the "toggle" aspect of this I would encourage you to add your vote to https://feedback.huntress.com/mdr-for-microsoft365/p/suppress-alerts

A toggle would be nice. Turning it on and making it a HIGH priority incident would NOT be. That's what we have now. Getting phone calls and alerts on this is getting infuriating.

Joe Cimino: I'm going to mark this feature request as delivered since we are alerting on VPN connections, but your feedback is valid and I added you to a voter to this more-relevant feature request: https://feedback.huntress.com/mdr-for-microsoft365/p/suppress-alerts

Robert Dana 22 People voted to suppress alerts, and instead, you work on creating alerts for VPN's with 4 user votes? It's the reason I didn't renew. And this was a request for TOGGLE, which this definitely is NOT.

Joe Cimino: I'm really sorry to hear that your experience wasn't positive. I'm a week into leading our M365 product and the need to provide more control over VPN alerts and others is becoming really clear. I can't promise anything yet, but I'm hoping at some point we can win back your business.

Robert Dana Getting a phone call at 3 AM because a user left their VPN on is not the way to keep MSP's coming back.
