"Report a Phish" button for Outlook
this quarter
Dima Kumets [Product Manager - Huntress]
I'm curious to get your input: We know that a lot of folks want a ribbon button on Outlook Classic for desktop and web which is what we built first. We are also working on adding an in-line button to make sure we are available for mobile.
The question: Is there reason to make these separate installs or just deploy both? I'm leaning towards both but want to make sure we don't confuse learners.

An Outlook ribbon button is now ready to test for new Outlook on Windows and Web. A separate report phishing big button will be coming later this quarter. If you are interested in beta testing the ribbon button please comment here and I can reach out to you with instructions when ready.
Update: We have successfully tested in one Outlook classic environments and hope to have more.
Update 2: Documentation is ungated at https://support.huntress.io/hc/en-us/articles/39937551789331-Microsoft-Outlook-Ribbon-Report-a-Phish-Button-Add-in-Installation-Instructions

Report Phishing Button

The report Phishing button in Outlook should be implemented. Users are instructed to report emails with this button since it is used in various email security platforms. When an email is reported curricula should see that and match the reported email up.

We signed up to SAT and as per documentation set up the Outlook Report button. We want to be informed if a user reports an email as Phishing and its not a phish test, which works. But we also now get a ticket if the user Reports as Junk. A custom Report Phish button like other solutions would be far better!

Is this button going to tell the user "Good job you caught a phishing email" if it's curricula but allow them to send to the email if it's not from curricula? This could save tons of helpdesk tickets for my team.

Please please please, make this happen. For users coming from KnowBe4 they are left confused without it. Looks like I may be able to make my own in the meantime using an Outlook Macro (adjusting what someone did in the link below), but it's not ideal.

The current configuration for reporting phishing emails is causing confusion among our technicians. When a user marks an email as "not junk," it sends an email that resembles a phishing report, which can be misleading. We would greatly appreciate the addition of a custom button in Outlook, similar to those offered by other vendors, to help streamline this process.
Even if we disable the "report as not junk" setting, it still sends emails when a user clicks "report as not junk."

We are already using this - configure M365 Defender to forward phishing reports to an internal mailbox, which forwards to a contact (which is the address listed in Huntress to receive reports).
Isn't this documented already?
