Would be great to collect logs from NAS appliances. I have both Synology and QNAP NAS systems at client sites and the logs would help get insight into authentication and access attempts as well as things like the built-in AV logs on those devices.

Another case for this feature. We use Synology NASs for smaller clients who don't need a full server for file access. We recently had an instance at a customer of multiple customer folders being deleted from the NAS without reason. SIEM would have given us additional tools to query the logs for the activity faster than downloading logs to a CSV from the Synology to filter through.

Most of our clients have Synology NAS units. They use it for local backups, SaaS backups from MS and also as file servers from time to time. It would be wonderful to have a true native AV on these devices and also collect logs from them.

Any news on this? It's a great idea, especially for Synology and Qnap devices.

Totally agree. Our Synology footprint is constantly growing and needs better protections/oversight.
